Practical Examination conducted for second year students. The chairperson of the board was Dr.Jessa M. from Farook Training College. The board consisted of five optional teachers in addition to the Chairman. They reported very good opinion about the performance of our students.

The function was presided over by Rev.Sr.Marian A.C. Provincial Councillor and keynote address by Sr.Sheena A.C, provincial bursar. Felicitations given by our administrator Sr.Elizabeth A.C and PTA vice president Sri.K P Vijayan. Prize distributed to the toppers in each option (2017-19 batch) – Athira Krishnan (Eng), Sandra James (Maths), Sr.Maiby Thankachan (NS), Reshma P (PS) and Manjusha N P (SS). Anju Emmanuel delivered the vote of thanks. Variety entertainment programmes were done by the students.

First semester classes started. After the assembly the Principal gave a brief introduction about the history of the institution. Mrs.Geetha K gave a detailed explanation about the B.Ed curriculum.

We got IVth semester marklist and provisional certificate from University. The top scores is Sr.Maiby Thankachan A.C with 83.77% of marks (1466/1750). Reshma P got 1445 marks (82.57%) and Aneena Stanley 1443 marks (82.46%). Self introduction done by the students.

Class PTA meeting of first year and second year B.Ed students held today at 10.00am at 5 optional classes. The parents of 2018-20 and 2019-21 batch students were participated in the meeting.

After the class PTA meeting an orientation class on “Effective Parenting” was given by Msgr.Fr.Jensen Puthenveetil from 10.30 to 11.30am.

PTA general body meeting was held at 11.45am.The meeting started with aparyer, followed by a welcome address by Mrs.Sree Jya K E, PTA Secretary. The Principal Dr.Shanty Jose addressed the gathering and presented the report of the general body meeting of previous year. Sr.lalitha A.C, administrator presented the PTA accounts.

The PTA Execuive committee introduced themselves. This was followed by a discussion. The parents actively participated in the discussion session. Dr.Minila K George, senior most faculty delivered vote of thanks.

Students participated in the “Freedom Plogging” at Kozhikode beach organized by Sweden Alumni Network India Kerala Chapter. Kozhikode Councillor Adv.Thomas Mathew inaugurated the programme. It was a wonderful experience for the students to pick up trash while jogging.

Oath taking ceremony for the College Union 2019-20 held today at 9.30am.

We celebrated the feast of Sr.Lalitha A.C, our administrator in advance (Sept 14th ). The function started with a prayer. A brief description about Sr.Lalitha and her contribution to the community was narrated by Chaithanya. A slide –show about Sr.Lalitha was presented by Divya. Principal greeted Sr.Lalitha A.C with flowers and rendered feastal wishes. Fathima Nval and Alakasree also greeted sister with greeting cards. Felicitation done by Devapriya and Stenimol. All students sang greeting song. Sr.Simi Scaria delivered vote of thanks. The staff also greeted and cutting of cake as part of feast.

Onam celebrated with great enthusiasm. All students participated in Thiruvathira. There were different games – lemon and spoon race, musical chair, breaking the balloon, sundaranu mesa varakkal etc. The pookkalam made by the students was wonderful. Onasadhya and onapattu was other attractions of the day. College closed for Onam holidays.

Community living camp (4 days)” Harmony” started today. Inaugurated by Sr.Marian A.C, Mother Superior of Carmel Hill Convent. Presidential speech given by the Principal. Sr.Rosilina A.C, our Educational Secretary took the forst session – “knowing the founders of our institution”. Then Sr.Marian A.C, took a session on “AC stamp of Education”.

Next session was on “Personality development” by Dr.Sunil Alex, lecturer in DIET, Tirur. On second day Mrs.Merit Thomas gave Yoga training in the morning. The first session was on “The Teacher Today” by Rev.Fr.Jenson Puthenpurackal, Vicar General, Calicut Diocese. The second session was “Awareness on Cancer” by Dr.Gandharam, Oncologist, MIMS Hospital. Campfire held at night.

On the third day a field trip was conducted to “Vanaparvam”. Students enjoyed the beauty of nature.

Fourth day started with Yoga by Mrs.Merit Thomas. Feedback session and adjournment.

World AIDS day celebrated. Lighted the candles and took pledge. Red ribbon distributed to all. Message given by the Principal. Presentation done by Anu Thomas. There was a slogan competition and Quiz competition on the theme. Ms.Priyanka, Renita and Athira presented a skit based on AIDS.

Surprise College inspection held today. Prof. P. Kelu sir and Syndicate member, Sri.Balakrishnan were the chairs of the inspection team. They verified the documents and inspected the infrastructural facilities. Met the staff and students and interacted with them. Kelu sir gave some suggestions to bring the college to the best level.

Annual Athletic meet held today. Started with a prayer. March past by tour houses under the leadership of house captain. Pink house became winners in the march past. Oath taken by the students. Flag hoisting and inauguration of the meet by the Principal. Competitions were held. Medals and certificates were distributed. Ms.Nimmi became the overall champion. The everrolling trophy goes to blue house.

Gift exchange among staff and students Christmas tree, Christmas crib, carol song, skit, dance etc were great attractions of the day.
